Federal Government Prosecutes Barter

Get this. A guy has some silver. He turns into what is basically a work of art because it is obviously not legal tender, nor is made to appear so. He was prosecuted for counterfeiting. Does this make sense to anyone?

Federal prosecutors on Monday tried to take a hoard of silver “Liberty Dollars” worth about $7 million that authorities say was invented by an Indiana man to compete with U.S. currency.
Bernard von NotHaus, 67, was convicted last month in federal court in Statesville on conspiracy and counterfeiting charges for making and selling the currency, which he promoted as inflation-proof competition for the U.S. dollar.
His Charlotte-based lawyer, Aaron Michel, is appealing that verdict. He wrote in a motion filed Thursday that von NotHaus did nothing wrong because he didn’t try to pass the Liberty Dollars off as U.S. dollars.
“The prosecutors successfully painted Mr. von NotHaus in a false light and now the U.S. Attorney responsible for the prosecution is painting the case in a false light, saying that it establishes that private voluntary barter currency is illegal,” Michel wrote.

American Society and Social Justice

It appears that there are two popular definitions of “social justice“ť. One involves an individual who chooses to give freely to people in need; this one is historically referred to as charity. The other requires the use of government force under the guise of good will to seize production from one and give to another. This one is nothing but theft and historically results in little less than slavery. Unfortunately, this is what most people mean when they speak of social justice.

Definition of Justice:

“The administering of deserved punishment or reward”

Is it possible that adding the word ‘social’ť before ‘justice’ can result in a definition that makes it “just” to steal from someone because it is socially acceptable to do so? Promoters of social justice should spend a moment and reflect on which definition they support, why they embrace it and whether their concept of “justice” infringes on another person’s rights or freedom,
Definition of Injustice:

“Violation of another’s rights”

Charity is an act of compassion by an individual or group of individuals of free will.
The most troubling thing I see resulting from the ideas of social justice is that it absolves the individual to act independently. There has never been a more charitable society than the Unites States. Can we maintain a morality which respects and cares for individuals less fortunate if the role of the individual is diminished and our duty to others is doled out through a government mechanism.
Our humanity will be dissolved further with the erosion of this individual responsibility, which is the nature of the fascist enterprise.
Government cannot issue charity. Government has no money other than takes from the private sector.

The Frankfurt School was dedicated to the destruction of the West. One of its founders, Willi Munzenberg, stated explicitly that its goal was to:
…organise the intellectuals and use them to make Western civilisation stink [sic]. Only then, after they have corrupted all its values and made life impossible, can we impose the dictatorship of the proletariat.
According to an article by Timothy Matthews in Catholic Insight, key strategies to achieve this goal were:
    1. The creation of racism offences.
    2. Continual change to create confusion.
    3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children.
    4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority.
    5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.
    6. The promotion of excessive drinking.
    7. Emptying of churches.
    8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime.
    9. Dependency on the state or state benefits.
    10. Control and dumbing down of media.
    11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family.

Hate crimes legislation has its roots in the communist-inspired, so-called Frankfurt School founded in Frankfurt, Germany by Bolsheviks in the 1920s. Its goal was to implement communism in the West quietly by gradually subverting popular culture — a movement known as Cultural Marxism. One of its leading lights, Herbert Marcuse, opined that the prevailing Western social order is repressive by definition and discriminates against minorities simply by existing.
This creates a phenomenon he called “repressive tolerance
Instead, he proposed what he called “partisan tolerance

,” i.e. tolerating the views of those “repressed minorities” only — who Marcuse assumes share his partisan hatred for everything noncommunist — while actively muzzling the views of the majority.

They have been practicing “partisan tolerance.” That is, tolerance of the extreme Left and virulent intolerance of anything else.

“I recollected that her eye excelled in brightness, that of any other animal, and that she has no eye-lids. She may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance. ”She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. As if anxious to prevent all pretentions of quarrelling with her, the weapons with which nature has furnished her, she conceals in the roof of her mouth, so that, to those who are unacquainted with her, she appears to be a most defenceless animal; and even when those weapons are shewn and extended for her defence, they appear weak and contemptible; but their wounds however small, are decisive and fatal: Conscious of this, she never wounds till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her. Was I wrong, Sir, in thinking this a strong picture of the temper and conduct of America?“[2]

    On Individuals and Mobs

It is axiomatic that leftists love mobs and rightists love the individual. Leftists love humanity but despise individuals. Rightists despise humanity but love the individual. Individuals spring forth from the crowds and they leave behind them the mob..the selfish mob that seeks to tear down the accomplishments of individuals and take for themselves, by force, what they did not earn.

The Bush plan is economic treason against the American worker. That “civil rights leaders”Âť are silent about the dispossession of the black working class, that unions are not marching to denounce this sellout of blue-collar and white-collar America, only tells us that the amorality of the transnational corporation has infected both. Solidarity be damned, it is all about money now.

We are entering the age of corporate totalitarianism. American companies are now global companies and American sovereignty is secondary to the wishes of the global capitalist. I’m as big a capitalist as anyone, but tyranny can come from any faction. The mainstream of America is being ripped by forces at both ends Cultural Marxists on one end and corporate totalitarianism on the other.

    2 Misconceptions held by Americans

There are two misconceptions held by many Americans. The first is that communism ceased to be a threat when the Soviet Union imploded. The second is that the New Left of the Sixties collapsed and disappeared as well.
Because the New Left lacked cohesion it fell apart as a political movement. However, its revolutionaries reorganized themselves into a multitude of single issue groups.
Both communism and the New Left are alive and thriving here in America. They favor code words: tolerance, social justice, economic justice, peace, reproductive rights, sex education and safe sex, safe schools, inclusion, diversity, and sensitivity. All together, this is Cultural Marxism disguised as multiculturalism.

Who is Antonio Gramsci? – You Better Learn

WSJ writer, “[Fonte] defines the ideological split in America as a contest between present-day Tocquevillians and disciples of the 20th-century Italian philosopher Antonio Gramsci, who drew on the ideas of Friedrich Hegel and Karl Marx. The Tocquevillians incline toward individualism, religious belief and patriotism. The Gramscians see any society, including America, as an arena where the “marginalized” are necessarily at war with the privileged classes.
As we know, political events do not happen in a vacuum. There are always causes. Ideas that were deemed a failure decades ago can be successfully implemented today. In the world of ideas, decades are often only an incubation period and today Gramsci s ideas are very much alive in the political arena.
Gramsci wrote his 33 books. They contain very shrewd insights on how a “capitalist, bourgeois society” works and how it can be taken over peacefully and dominated through a systematic change of its ideas.

And you will understand that they are not the work of “weird crazy people” but rather of calculating and quite intelligent operatives.”I IMPLORE all Right-thinking people to educate themselves on the ideas of Materialists. They are more prevalent now than they ever have been. You need to know what is behind the trends in HIgher Education, Political Correctness, Environmentalism, The thousand or so political action, interest groups that tear the fabric of America (ACLU, NEA, Think Progress, Moveon.org and a thousand others. Nebraska State Police Seize Baby from Nursing Mother

A Nebraska couple sued state health officials Thursday, arguing their rights were violated when their newborn baby was seized by sheriff’s deputies so a mandatory blood test could be performed.
His parents, Mary and Josue Anaya, believe that the Bible instructs against deliberately drawing blood and that ignoring that directive may shorten a person’s life. State health officials “conspired to deny the Anayas their rights of due process, and to seize and test baby Joel without notice or a hearing in district court,” according to the filed in U.S. District Court in Omaha.
“This is a classic case of the government overreaching and violating a family’s constitutional rights,”
Sheriff’s deputies came Oct. 11 to take the child, who remained in foster care until tests came back Oct. 16.

This is what happens when the State has a say in medical issues. If they will go to these extremes in this circumstance, then what circumstance would they exercise restraint. This should be sign of things to come in th world of socialized medicine.
