Interposition is the cousin of nullification (via Gary Wood, Tenth Amendment Center)

Most who have harangued and haggled about my use of the word ‘fascism” to describe the current state-ist trend have little or nothing to stand on. The ties between fascists and Progressives cannot be made any more clear. The open minded are joining the chorus I have been on since 2007, and more are seeing the light. We are now in a developing fascist state. It is not about ideology or movement anymore. It exists and it is an evolving tyrannical government that we have in our midst.

Each lurch toward the fascist ideal brings about the discussion of the 10th Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Throughout the brief history of the United States we have encountered periods of conflict between federalism and nationalism.
Today we are in the midst of the most recent conflict.
News is filled with accounts of federal maneuvering apparently bent on ending this conflict once and for all in favor of nationalized democracy.
Not since the days of Franklin Roosevelt has the national government seemed so determined to press for total centralization of power.
Just as Roosevelt held lowly views of the Constitution and the idea of federalism so too does our current president
The main difference is today too many decades of bad traditions, precedents, and expectations are favoring nationalism and we are working within a federalist façade ready to finally crumble.
Each of the past century’s assaults has torn down the resolve of many to embrace self-governing freedom over national entitlements despite knowing they are being promised things that simply cannot and will not be delivered.
